Upon graduation from Singapore Polytechnic, I have had a five months break before reading a degree in project and facilities management in National university of Singapore. So, in order to make full use of time and gain working experience, I decided to take up a part time job. Through recruit express’s recommendation, I found myself a temporary position in SingTel Communications as a Temp Admin. My job scope is basically to assist new or existing customer in arranging installations schedule for the internet services that they have signed up. Throughout these five months, I have learnt how to handle different type of customers’ as some tends to feedback about the long waiting time that they have to wait from sign up date till date of installation. As installation dates are not within my control, I would normally tell them that I will try to find them an earlier date. In these cases, customers would felt that I put in effort in serving them. I adore the sense of satisfaction when I get recognition from my customers whereby they appreciated my help and thank me sincerely. From this job that I held, I’ve gain skills in managing people and people behavioural that I am able to apply to school life.
